HOLDING LIGHT

"Holding light" by @mariabilbaoherrera

3´59´´ 2021

The performance "Holding light" is an approach to sound, silence and the relationship between movement and stillness, practices and possibilities that could redefine our digital encounters treating them as containers to experience a shared attitude towards the future without using words, but experiencing #digitalhumanity through silence, music, sound and movement/stillness in the digital space, treating it as a “reality” we are ready to explore without saying and what this encounters can trigger in us, as human beings. -

Part of the series "Random Encounters" for @theunder_flow #artaspractice #randomencounters --- This performance is inspired by the project I'm currently developing: IG @theunder_flow

Theunder_flow is a space to present "Random Encounters - A threshold for containing common intuitive futures", a series of online live encounters either in zoom or IG. #Randomencounters for @theunder_flow. The encounters are inspired by the works of avant-garde artists, a reinterpretation that invites us to participate in the creation of experimental online spaces through artistic performances that incorporate Fluxus-style text-based guided instructions, or designed activities. Technology is not "a mere medium" but "a mode of revealing" (Heidegger: 1954). - ·

- · For the project Random Encounters- A threshold to contain common intuitive futures, @MariaBilbaoHerrera is committed to examine the possibilities of redefining our digital encounters by treating them as containers to experience a shared attitude towards the future without using words, but experiencing #digitalhumanity through silence, music, sound and movement/stillness.
